This was...not what I expected. And I expected nothing in particular...Wow

Ending AB

(+1)

Thanks for playing! Heh, yes Vivacious Vampyres is one of my fav endings ^^

Very nice visual novel.

Great visuals, characters, character designs & background & music was very nice.

I don't have the words to describe how much I like it.

Also I just have to ask about the shop itself.

HOW MANY FREAKIN SIGNS DOES THIS SHOP HAVE?!

Like seriously it was getting more and more funny when I see there was a different sign we point to like I have no idea why but that was the most funny thing I saw. Like What the hell? 😂😂😂

10/10 game great work.

(+1)

Hahaha thank you so much for playing!

Love your interpretation of the signs in the store XD
I originally wrote it as a sign that changes its message for the situation but kinda enjoy the visual of a thousand hanging signs just behind the player POV LMAO

(+3)

Made another video

(+3)

I've been thoroughly enjoying your playthroughs for Angelblood, each of your voices for all the characters is nothing short of incredible LOL. Thank you so much for playing Angelblood!!

(+3)

Solid Visual Novel with some pretty amazing visuals, the angels are absolutely gorgeous to look at, nice backgrounds and sound design as well.

I was enjoying the game as the dating sim I thought it was but then the horror hits and the game becomes so much better, a trip of confusion, otherworldly horrors and nice sculpted angel bodies.

The story and world building were so interesting, and in my opinion the game has the right amount of choices and a good variety of endings, if anything I wish my girl Rowena her own happy ending...

Keep up the good work!

(+2)

Ahh thanks for playing and appreciating! Delighted to hear the horror elements hit the spot, Polly's scary CGs are freaking prime!

We all love Meagan's Seraphix too (I have ordered a print for myself as first customer to our shop LOL)

Hmm I smell a potential fourth cauldron option for our girl Rowena perhaps...
;) (Glad you enjoy the current mix of choices and endings too ^^)

(+3)

just finished
great

(+1)

thank you^^

(+3)

Good artwork and music, and the writing is good as well.  I do wish there were more choices to be made, as there were so many opportunities for them.

(+1)

Thank you so much for playing and appreciating our work! We'll keep more choices in mind for future updates ^^
I typically do add lots more choices in my VNs so this is definitely an exception (my attempt at a "small scope project" to learn programming ATL ^^)

(+3)

Made a video

(+2)

Ahaha that's peak Seraphix voicing XD
You betcha there's jap mayo in the backroom!

And artefact is british spelling haha, but might just change it back since artifact is accepted too and way more common

(1 edit) (+3)

I love the atmosphere, it really pulls you in when playing! The music and the sfx are really cool, and I love the design of Saria and Seraphix. Also, I need to make this my phone background - the hat is so cute!!!!🌸

(+2)

Thank you Jan! 😻 Happy you like the cute witchy hat, InstantRiot to add the floating witch hat after Aurracle suggested it on stream, hehe glad it is appreciated^^

Love Cinca and William’s music and ofc eternally grateful for Ulalaria, Navi, and Dolly’s work on the incredible character designs ^^

(Also really glad you enjoyed the sound, we had so many road bumps with SFX files getting corrupted haha, I was sourcing and adjusting sound levels + deeply struggling so it means a lot to hear that!)

(+4)

loved this, the designs and sprites were great, and I loved this concept for a short story

(+1)

Thank you 🩸 the team did an incredible job bringing this Vampyric Angel experience to life, and we’ll have another update coming up!

(+4)

THIS WAS SUPER GOOD!!! "Isn't it fascinating, whose blood they care for, while oceans of red lap the shores below" is one of the hardest lines ever, that was so sick.

The worldbuilding was so fascinating, and easily my most favorite part of this experience. idk if you know the meme trifecta of machine / flesh / divine, but this is the first time I'm actually getting the divine part. This was magical.

I just want to point out that the browser build does seem to have a few performance issues (I encountered one leaked texture error and the animated text tanked my fps), and maybe most upsettingly some character sprites took a few seconds to stop being pixelated.

Overall though, this was an absolute delight to play!

(+1)

THANK YOU IM GLAD THAT LINE RESONATED!

Ohhhhh I haven’t seen the meme but that sounds AMAZING and exactly what I was going for.

🩸machine / flesh / divine ✨ - I want to go hard into more sci fi fantasy, mixing poetry with futuristic realities, lunarpunk sanctuaries, dreamscapes of higher dimensional beings, liminal technology

And appreciate you letting us know about the browser build! Yeah it was tricky to get the web build to work and I saw in some streams it takes a bit of time to load. We’ll look into it of course but always best to just download, the browser is more for accessibility.

(+3)

Hi! I got all the endings, was a little confused at some parts BUT think I got the overall story. It's really very nice and I loved the experience!

(+1)

Oooooooh thank you so much for playing! Angelblood speaks in tongues beyond mere mortal comprehension (including mine 😆). Thank you for giving this dark twisted fantasy VN a try, with all its higher dimensional horrors, cosmic soup, and overall bizarreness haha

This was my first time programming so I tried to keep it simple! Keyword being tried XD

I’m going to give your playthrough a detailed watch and appreciate any feedback 🩸✨

(+4)

Hmm nothing comes off the top of my head, but maybe I mention it in the video? Like I said, really enjoyed it! Looking forward to seeing what's next. OH PRINTS I said you guys should make prints of angel vampire lady 😂

(+3)

YES I remember, I watched your whole playthrough!
And I'd love one of her in my room too... gotta ask Ulalaria if she sells prints ^^

Pauline, our CG artist was watching your playthrough on her TV with the cutest Valentine's Day setup <3

(+2)

OMGGG THAT'S SO SWEET AND CUTE!And yes please, let us know if they ever make prints!

(+2)

I BROUGHT IT UP TO THE TEAM FOR DISCUSSION AND ULALARIA IS GOING TO TAKE SOME TIME NEXT WEEK TO PREP IT! We’re excited to get them too to commemorate the project and put proceeds towards steam release!

(+2)

Hehe I'm happy to hear you think so, your play-through was a lovely start to my morning and I had so much fun watching it!

(+3)

I have been playing for a while, and my favorite part so far is the world building. Like the universe this story is taking place in is SUPER intriguing. It feels like I am devouring lore of an ancient story. The themes and symbolism of the eye, angels, and demons, and vampires are kool.

great job

(+1)

Hehe thank you for playing, I love worldbuilding and I'm glad this story drew you in!

(+5)

The art/writing themes/music create such a vibe. Amazing work!

(+2)

Appreciate you playing! I loved working with the team and writing a darker fantasy for this jam!

Cinca and William are incredible composers, and all of our artists did such a wonderful job! I love all the little details they brought into this piece, especially with Lynnasaurus’ BGs, Ulalaria’s interpretation of the many eyed, Fallen Vampyric Angel Seraphix, and all of the amazing CGs, animations, ah I could go on!

(+4)

Interesting concept; I haven't seen celestials blended with vampirism quite in this way before. Looking forward to whatever you work on next!

(+1)

Thank you, I’ve always been fascinated with the concept of apocalyptic creatures and celestial beings!

If you like this kind of style, you might be interested to know I took inspiration from Seraphim Slum, Burdock, and Touchstarved 🔥🖤

Thank you for the recs! I'll check them out

(+1)

They’re awesome! And so is Snow White Knight by Endysis, who inspired the GUI in Angelblood

(+5)

seraphix is so hot omg. incredible game

(+2)

Thank you! Ulalaria put some serious love into Seraphix's sprites.
It was so much fun to move her around and learn to code through this VN!
